New Electric Mini Cooper: 640 bhp and 0-60 in 4.5 Seconds

A British setup called PML decided to show what can be done with today’s technology. It shows that there really is no reason for us to be stuck with the gas-guzzling autos that we all drive today. The main reason that we are is the tight links between the large auto manufacturers and the oil industry, which by the way is making record profits this year at our expense.

This electric hybrid baby can drive on absolutely no gas for 4 hours straight. Although it comes with an internal combustion engine that kicks in to recharge the batteries giving it a total range of 932 miles (1500km), or about 80mpg! The quad electric motors behind each wheel pump in 160 horsepower each giving it a whopping 640bhp total and a max speed of over 240kph (150mph)!
